Benefits :)

Physical: 
This asana strengthens and stretches the legs, hips, and spine. It helps your balance and opens up the chest to improve breathing.  It stimulates the abdominal organs and works the abs.  It also can relieve mild back pain. 
Therapeutic: It strengthens your mind because it makes you focus on being in the present and it does not allow your mind to stray because you need to focus on your balance.
